Tuberculosis (TB) is a serious and potentially deadly infectious disease caused by bacteria that typically affects the lungs but can also affect other parts of the body. It is spread through the air when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. TB is a major global health problem, with an estimated 10 million people worldwide falling ill with TB each year and 1.4 million dying from the disease. Given the high prevalence of TB and its devastating health impact, public health campaigns focused on preventing, diagnosing, and treating TB are crucial. These campaigns can help raise awareness about the disease, encourage individuals to get screened and tested for TB, provide information on how to prevent TB transmission, and promote access to effective TB treatments. TB campaigns can also help to reduce the stigma associated with the disease and educate communities on how to support those who have been diagnosed with TB. In addition, TB campaigns can raise the profile of TB within the broader public health agenda and drive policy and funding commitments to combat the disease.
